Princesses of Pain on 20/20 this week

Princesses of pain team

The Princesses of Pain female MMA and Kickboxing show held in Auckland a month ago will be featured on 20/20 in NZ this week. The fighters were in Auckland for a week prior to the event and were filmed by 20/20 training, teaching kids classes, and fighting. This should be an interesting look at female MMA and Kickboxing and hopefully 20/20 will put a positive spin on the event and MMA in general.

The show will air this thursday in NZ on channel 2 at 9:30pm

Maurice Smith Australian Seminar Tour 2008

Maurice Smith
Maurice Smith

Maurice Smith is known as one of the world’s most prolific kickboxers, winning his first world championship title at the age of twenty-two with a KO victory over Canadian light-heavyweight champion Tony Morelli.  In the very same year, Smith moved up in weight to win the heavyweight title from Travis Everett, cementing himself as a force to be reckoned with in the kickboxing world.  Smith then went ten straight years without a loss, before eventually turning to mixed martial arts for a new challenge.

Smith won the UFC heavyweight championship from the organization’s first-ever title-holder, Mark Coleman.  He went on to defend the title against David “Tank” Abbott before losing it to MMA great and UFC hall of famer Randy Couture.  Smith enjoyed unprecedented success as a kickboxer in a world of grapplers, winning eleven MMA bouts, including a TKO victory over IFL Condors coach Marco Ruas, and a total of sixty-two kickboxing bouts.

Today, Smith’s Seattle Tiger Sharks have already embarked upon a rivalry with Matt Lindland’s Portland Wolfpack, and with the old-school training techniques of the tough-as-nails Smith, look to make an impact in the IFL

You now have a chance to train with the kickboxing and mma legend when he heads to Australian shores in August 2008!

If you are interested in hosting a seminar at your school/gym please contact us via email at or call 0424727072
